After owning and operating a nursing facility (rest home) in Stow, Massachusetts for 34 years, Walt and I retired to Cape Cod in 2005.  We live in the village of Cummaquid on a private golf course and four minute walk to the ocean.  I enjoy playing golf, weaving Nantucket baskets, gardening among the many hydrangeas, as well as volunteering for the Cape Cod Hospital Auxillary, Hyannis homeless shelter, and First Lutheran Church.  I also walk everyday, love relaxing by the sea and traveling to new destinations around the world.
I have a wonderful family and will end by simply saying "Life is Good."

After graduating from college in Boston, I married Beth DeAngelis.  Beth and I have two wonderful children Alexander (wife Ali) and Emily (husband Steve) who have given me four grandchildren Pierce, Jacob, Alexandra and William.  Directly out of college I worked in sales for Textron Corporation until, along with Beth’s family, we opened a restaurant on Cape Cod and then another one in Boston.  Although I worked in all aspects of the restaurant business, my highlight was learning from one of the best chef’s in the world, Michael Shannon, now of the famed Club Car on Nantucket.  After Beth and I divorced, I worked for many years selling valves and instrumentation to construction companies and nuclear plants throughout the Northeast.   Having settled in Mystic, CT and a career sailing Topsail Schooners for 15 years, I met my wife, Janet.  We have a son, John IV who is a senior at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland majoring in Astrophysics.  Janet and I are both enjoying retirement.
